History

BFI growth

September

2011

BF International is established

Our business was officially opened on 6 September, in Gdynia of course!

May

2014

The first office opens in PPNT (PSTP)

Our first office was in the Pomorska Science and Technology Park (PPTN) in Gdynia.

April

2015

Gosia joins us!

Gosia still works with us in the Container team today and is the longest-serving employee.

January

2016

New service: inert cargo transport

In early 2016, we expanded our services to include inert product transport.

April

2016

The Road Freight Forwarding team is established

In April 2016, a thriving Road Freight Forwarding team was established.

January

2017

The BIO Team is set up

A new team, BIO, was set up and a decision was made to serve longer destinations in PL, LT and CZ with 15 walking floor trailers.

2018

The LCL Container Transport team is established

In the beginning of January 2018, the LCL Container Transport team was set up, now staffed by more than 20 people.

February

2019

Veterinary transport permits acquired

In February 2019, we received the veterinary transport permits which authorise BFI to carry goods of animal origin.

September

2019

The head office moves to Fenix

September 2019 saw another huge change in our company – we moved our head office to the Fenix Building on al. Zwycięstwa, where our headquarters are still located today.

March

2020

Covid vs. home office

It was a difficult period for everyone, with the whole office staff working remotely and delivering results from the confines of their homes.

September

2021

10th anniversary of the company

We celebrated our 10th anniversary lavishly in September 2021!

December

2021

New Trucking Section is established

At the end of 2021, a BFI unit was established for carrying customer semi-trailers.

June

2022

The Internal Fleet Management team is established

It coincided with the deployment of BFI’s very own fleet, which currently has 11 semi tractors, each with a unique name inspired by the Marvel Universe characters.

September

2022

The LTL Team is established

On the company’s eleventh anniversary, a thriving LTL team was established and known under the nickname ‘Vans’.

BFI Transport is established

In September 2022, BFI was renamed as BFI Transport.

July

2023

100 people on board BFI

In July 2023, we broke the magical number of 100 people in the BFI family.

October

2023

New service added and the Reefer team is established

In October 2023, we added a new service, international refrigerated transport.

The contract fleet grows

At the same time, the container transport contracted truck fleet grew to 100 units.

December

2023

BFI Sp. z o.o.

On 1 December 2023, the legal form of BFI was changed.

February

2024

New E-Forwarders team is established

In the first quarter of 2024, a new BFI team was set up, E-Forwarders, with freight forwarding specialists operating from remote locations and headed by Mateusz Cymuta.
